FAQs
Do I need a referral?
In Louisiana, you do not need a physician’s referral for physical therapy. If your therapist determines that further medical evaluation or treatment is necessary, we may recommend that you see a physician or can provide a referral.
Do you accept insurance?
We are out of network with all insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid. This allows us to dedicate more one-on-one time to each patient and provide the highest quality care. Payment is collected at the time of service and can be made via cash, credit card, check, or flexible/health savings accounts. We work closely with each patient to create a plan that fits their schedule, lifestyle, and budget.
You may be able to submit your visit for out-of-network reimbursement through your insurance. To determine your coverage, please contact your insurance provider and ask about “out-of-network physical therapy.” Submitting a claim is the responsibility of the patient. Upon request, we can provide a superbill or itemized bill containing all the necessary information for insurance submission.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
If you are coming to our clinic for a pregnancy wellness or childbirth preparation visit, it can be helpful to write down any specific questions or concerns you have. Our therapists aim to provide as much—or as little—information as you feel comfortable with. Your questions can cover a wide range of topics, from what to expect during delivery to guidance for the first two weeks postpartum.
We also offer internal pelvic floor assessments for pregnancy wellness patients (except during the first trimester). If you are interested in this assessment but would like clearance from your OB or midwife first, you are welcome to contact them before your appointment.
If you are visiting us for pelvic floor dysfunction, it may be helpful to make a list of the symptoms you are experiencing, such as urinary leakage, pelvic pain, prolapse, or constipation. We will review all of your symptoms in detail during your appointment.
Can I bring my baby/children?
Absolutely! Our office coordinator loves babies and is always happy to rock your little one during your session. Your appointment can also be a great opportunity to assess your body mechanics while holding, nursing, or picking up your baby, and we can provide some helpful training.
If you are currently nursing, we encourage you to nurse your baby as needed throughout your appointment. We also have a waiting area where family members or older children are welcome to sit and relax during your session.
What is your cancellation policy?
We have a 24-hour cancellation policy to help us keep our schedule running smoothly. If you opt in to receive texts or emails, we’ll send reminders before your appointment so you have plenty of time to plan ahead.
We understand that things come up! If you need to reschedule or cancel, please try to do so at least 24 hours before your appointment.
No-show: If you miss your appointment, the full appointment cost will apply.
Late cancellation (within 24 hours): You will be responsible for half of the appointment cost.
We truly appreciate your understanding and support—it helps us provide the best care for all of our patients!
